Laurette Marie Klar, a beloved member of the Texas community, passed away in her home on October 26, 2025, after a determined battle with ovarian cancer that lasted 18 months. Born on December 11, 1962, to Harry and Theresa Moczygemba Klar, Laurette was the second eldest of five sisters, raised on her family’s ranch east of Boerne, Texas.

Growing up in a ranching family, Laurette developed a deep appreciation for hard work and agriculture. She participated in livestock shows, which instilled in her a lifelong commitment to the land and community. She attended Boerne ISD from first through twelfth grade and graduated from Boerne High School in 1981. Laurette furthered her education by earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Angelo State University in 1985.

After completing her studies, she returned to Boerne, where she quickly established a reputation for her strong work ethic and loyalty. For the last 21 years of her career, she was dedicated to Granstaff, Gaedke & Edgmon, P.C. in San Antonio. Beyond her professional achievements, Laurette was known for her vibrant spirit and strong ties to her family and friends.

In 1998, Laurette began assisting her father at the family ranch in Junction, Texas. This role evolved into a commitment to care for her aging parents, ensuring they could remain at home until their passing. Her love for ranching extended to activities like recycling and gardening, where she formed meaningful relationships throughout the Texas Hill Country.

Laurette’s family was paramount to her. She is survived by her sisters, Donna (David) Inman, Harriette (Tony) Frels, Elaine (Hank) Rogers, and Beatrice (Mike) Casey, who will deeply miss her. Her nieces and nephews will cherish the fond memories they created with her, including the lessons she imparted, such as teaching many of them how to drive. Friends from across the state will remember Laurette’s warmth and generosity, as she held a special place in each of their hearts.

The family will receive condolences on November 2, 2025, at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home in Boerne from 16:00 to 18:00, with a Rosary to be recited at 18:00. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on November 3, 2025, at 10:00 at St. Joseph Catholic Church Honey Creek in Spring Branch, Texas.
