The cross-country finals featured a competitive field, but Leonia’s determination shone through. The Cameron sisters delivered outstanding performances, helping their team outpace the competition. Their efforts not only earned them individual accolades but also solidified Leonia’s place in the history of the sport in the region.
Ridgewood High School, a perennial powerhouse in cross-country, added yet another title to its impressive legacy. This victory marks the school’s 31st championship win, showcasing its sustained excellence in the sport. Ridgewood’s consistent performance underscores its status as a dominant force in North Jersey cross-country.
The course at Garret Mountain presented unique challenges, with its steep inclines and rapid descents. Runners had to maintain their focus and endurance to navigate the ups and downs effectively.
