Ragon Institute Seeks Computational Immunologist for Tenure-Track Role

The Ragon Institute of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Harvard University is actively searching for a qualified individual to fill a tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor. This role, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, will primarily focus on computational immunology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning within the field of immunology.

Established in February 2009, the Ragon Institute operates at the intersection of MGH, MIT, and Harvard, boasting cutting-edge research facilities. The institute’s mission is to harness the immune system to prevent and cure human diseases, particularly focusing on infectious diseases, autoimmunity, and cancer immunology. Working in conjunction with the Department of Immunology at Harvard Medical School, the institute aims to advance fundamental knowledge in immunobiology and immunopathology.

Candidates interested in this position should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, along with a strong track record in basic or translational research. The ideal applicant will demonstrate the potential to develop an independent research program that aligns with the Ragon Institute’s mission.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, conduct research, and mentor students. They will receive a comprehensive start-up package to establish their research, with access to advanced core facilities that include flow cytometry, microscopy, and BSL-3 facilities.
