Producer Addresses Controversy Over Blake Lively’s Birth Video

Producer Jamey Heath provided details regarding the footage during a deposition on October 8, 2024, asserting that Lively only viewed a brief segment of the video featuring his wife giving birth.

In legal documents filed on December 4, 2024, Lively claimed that the viewing of the video was unexpected and unsettling. Her lawsuit alleges that during the filming of a birth scene, the set was chaotic and lacked standard protections typically observed in the industry, particularly regarding nudity. Lively described the moment as alarming, recalling how Heath approached her and her assistant to play a video of a nude woman.

According to Lively’s account, she interrupted Heath, concerned about the nature of the footage, which she initially thought might be pornographic. She reported asking if his wife was aware that he was sharing the video. Heath’s response, as Lively claimed, was that his wife “isn’t weird about this stuff,” implying that her discomfort was unusual.

During his deposition, Heath clarified that the video depicted a peaceful moment involving his family. He described the scene as one where he, his wife, their newborn, and other family members were singing and praying together. He noted that while his wife was nude, a towel was mostly placed over the baby, and he himself was clothed.

Heath explained that he believed director Justin Baldoni had suggested sharing the video with Lively, describing it as a “beautiful” moment. He emphasized that Lively only saw a fraction of the footage, specifically the part where his wife and the newborn were present.

In response to Lively’s claims, Baldoni and Heath filed a countersuit, which was later dismissed.
