Nashville Teen, 16, Charged in Valet Shooting During Road Rage

BREAKING: A 16-year-old has been arrested in Nashville, charged with shooting a valet employee in a shocking road rage incident outside the Virgin Hotel on Music Square West earlier this month. The Nashville Police Department confirmed the teenager was taken into custody late Tuesday, following an altercation that escalated into violence on December 5, 2023.

The incident began when the valet, a 26-year-old man, was assisting a hotel guest with their vehicle. He was confronted by the driver of a Kia Optima, who accused him of obstructing traffic. A brief exchange of words quickly turned deadly as the young driver drew a firearm, shooting the valet in the thigh.

During the arrest, investigators discovered a semi-automatic pistol with an extended magazine in the suspect’s backpack. The weapon matched the description from the shooting and was reported stolen during a vehicle burglary on 4th Avenue South in November 2022.
