One Dead, One Critical After Urgent Fire at Upper Darby Apartments

URGENT UPDATE: A fire at the Llanarch Place Apartments in Upper Darby Township has left one person dead and another in critical condition. The blaze erupted around 10:30 AM on October 14, 2023, prompting a rapid response from local fire crews.

Multiple residents were affected, with several transported to area hospitals for treatment. One firefighter also suffered burn injuries and has since been released. Eyewitness accounts describe a chaotic scene as firefighters battled the flames on the second floor of the three-story apartment complex.
