Kelsey Grammer Voices Frustration Over Frasier Revival’s Future

Kelsey Grammer has expressed significant frustration regarding the future of the *Frasier* revival, which was abruptly canceled by Paramount+ less than a year after its debut. The show, which premiered in 2023, served as a sequel to the beloved sitcom *Cheers*, picking up approximately 20 years later as Grammer’s character, Dr. Frasier Crane, relocates to Boston to reconnect with his son, Frederick, while pursuing a teaching career at Harvard University.

Despite initial success and a positive reception from viewers, the series struggled to secure a breakout performance in its second season. This ultimately led to Paramount+’s decision to cancel the show. In a recent interview with ScreenRant’s Ash Crossan, while promoting his new disaster thriller *Turbulence*, Grammer revealed his ongoing efforts to revive *Frasier* and his dissatisfaction with the current situation.

He stated, “I have a couple of ideas as to how we can actually secure more,” indicating that he has funding ready to support the show’s return. Grammer highlighted that the studio’s resistance stems from a desire to retain control over the property, stating, “They don’t want to let somebody else take it and turn it into a hit.” He questioned the rationale behind this decision, considering the potential financial gain for Paramount, estimating that it could be “another billion or two” for the company.
