BREAKING: The Napavine Tigers have claimed their sixth consecutive victory with a commanding 90-57 win over the Morton-White Pass Timberwolves on January 6, 2026. This decisive game took place at Morton High School, showcasing Napavine’s offensive prowess as they scored no less than 21 points in each quarter.

Senior standout Tyce Vigre led the charge for the Tigers with a game-high 21 points, while five other players contributed significantly to the scoreboard. The Tigers are now 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the Central 2B League, solidifying their position as a major contender this season.

Despite the loss, Morton-White Pass head coach Kevin Dunlap praised his team’s effort against a top-tier opponent. “I liked our effort. We played way harder than we have. Everybody in the gym recognized the effort,” Dunlap stated. Senior Kohen Ingalsbe excelled for the Timberwolves, scoring 20 points, and Dunlap noted that foul trouble among key players hindered their competitiveness.

The Tigers’ offensive strategy was relentless, with significant contributions from Hudson Chambers (17 points), Cal Bullock (13 points), and Tyler Watson (13 points). The balanced scoring and aggressive playstyle have made Napavine a team to watch this season.

Looking ahead, Napavine will continue their road trip, facing Winlock on January 10 and Toledo on January 12. In contrast, Morton-White Pass will aim for their first win against Coupeville on January 7, with hopes high for a turnaround after this tough match.

Dunlap remains optimistic, telling his players to rest well and bring energy for their upcoming game. “We want to send a message to the league that we are here to compete,” he emphasized, highlighting the confidence-building potential of their recent performance.

Stay tuned for updates as both teams look to make their mark in the coming weeks.
