Longmont Man, 42, Fatally Struck While Crossing Main Street

UPDATE: A 42-year-old Longmont man was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident while crossing Main Street on Thursday evening. Emergency responders rushed to the scene at approximately 8:50 p.m., where police confirmed a vehicle struck the man as he crossed from east to west.

Longmont Police spokesperson Rogelio Mares stated that officers arrived “within seconds” of the incident and provided immediate medical assistance to the victim. Despite their efforts, the man was later pronounced dead at the hospital. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of family by the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.

The driver, a resident of Longmont, remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have confirmed that the cause of the crash is still under investigation, and as of now, no charges have been filed against the driver.
