Beloved Jean A. Bergman, 84, Passes Away After Cancer Battle

Jean A. Bergman, aged 84, passed away in Florida on December 16, 2025, after a brief struggle with cancer. Formerly a resident of Inver Grove Heights, she leaves behind a devoted family and a legacy marked by her passion for community and the arts.

Born and raised in Acme, Michigan, Jean attended Michigan State University, where she laid the groundwork for a fulfilling career. She spent many years in administration, primarily with the Inver Grove Heights Police Department. Her professional dedication mirrored her commitment to her family and community.

Jean is survived by her children, Ken Bergman (Lisa Blee) and Jeff Bergman (Jenny Bergman), along with her brother-in-law, Ron Bergman (Leslie) of Washington, and sister-in-law, Judy Weber (Andy) of North Carolina. She also cherished her grandchildren: Corey (Maddie), Tess (William), Max (Peyton), Devin, and Sophia, as well as her great-grandchild, Callen. Jean’s family tree also extends to numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her passing marks a significant loss for her family, and she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bergman, her parents, Gilbert and Leota Mannor, and her brothers, Jack and Richard Mannor, along with sister-in-law Joyce Mannor.

Throughout her life, Jean was known for her unwavering love for family. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed a wide array of arts and crafts, often creating pieces that she donated to charitable organizations. Her contributions to both her family and her community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

While no formal services will be held, her family encourages memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Jean A. Bergman’s legacy will continue through the lives she touched and the memories she created. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends alike.
