Spring Hill Dominates Powerlifting Meet with Six Titles
Liberty City hosted the Iron and Pine Sabine Powerlifting Meet on Thursday, where the Spring Hill team showcased an impressive performance, clinching six weight division titles. Competitors participated in three major lifts: the squat, bench press, and deadlift, demonstrating their strength across various weight classes.
The event featured a range of talented lifters, each striving for personal bests and team glory. In the 97-pound division, Jordyn Bishop from Union Grove achieved a total weight of 455 pounds, while her teammate Kyleigh Blackstock totaled 310 pounds.
In the 105-pound category, Ayva Spakes from Spring Hill excelled with a total of 540 pounds, including a standout squat of 195 pounds. The 114-pound division saw Lilly Hutton from Union Grove lift a total of 410 pounds, displaying her strength with a squat of 150 pounds.
Top Performers Shine in Heavier Classes
The competition intensified in the 123-pound division, where Morgan Gee from White Oak dominated with a remarkable total of 725 pounds, featuring a squat of 290 pounds. Teammates Laityn Chism and Madeline Sirmans also performed well, with totals of 550 pounds and 430 pounds, respectively.
Spring Hill continued their winning streak in the 148-pound class, where Ashlyn Applegate lifted a total of 595 pounds, and Ava Miller added to the team’s success with a total of 505 pounds. The 165-pound division featured Karisa Schultz, who achieved a total of 615 pounds.
In the 198-pound class, Emma Starnes from White Oak had an impressive total of 590 pounds. The competition concluded with the 220-pound division, where Emma Austin from Spring Hill lifted a remarkable total of 755 pounds, showcasing her exceptional strength.
Record-Breaking Lifts and Standout Achievements
The meet also highlighted extraordinary individual performances. Notably, in the 242-pound category, Emmalynn Copeland from Spring Hill achieved an impressive total of 870 pounds, with a squat of 365 pounds. In the 242-plus division, Josie Gray also made her mark with a total of 820 pounds.
Overall, the Iron and Pine Sabine Powerlifting Meet provided a platform for these athletes to demonstrate their hard work and dedication. The results not only reflect individual achievements but also underscore the strength and competitive spirit present in the Spring Hill team, as they continue to dominate the powerlifting scene in their region.
