Alex Honnold’s Taipei 101 Climb Delayed by Weather Concerns
Organizers have postponed professional rock climber Alex Honnold‘s highly anticipated ropeless ascent of Taipei 101 by 24 hours due to adverse weather conditions. The live broadcast of this daring feat, originally scheduled for July 7, 2023, will now air on Netflix on the evening of July 8 in the United States. Safety remains the primary concern, as confirmed by Netflix’s announcement regarding the delay.
Honnold, known for his remarkable free solo climbs, including the iconic ascent of Yosemite’s El Capitan, aims to push the boundaries of climbing in one of Taiwan’s most recognizable structures.
