Paris Jackson Receives $65 Million from Late Father’s Estate
UPDATE: In a significant legal development, Paris Jackson has reportedly received $65 million in benefits from her late father Michael Jackson’s estate, according to newly disclosed court documents. This revelation comes in response to Paris’s concerns over estate payments expressed in June, which prompted the estate’s executors to clarify her financial benefits in a October 9, 2023 filing.
The executors of Michael Jackson’s estate assert that Paris, now 27 years old, has greatly benefited from their management, stating, “Few have benefited more from the Executors’ business judgment than Petitioner herself.” The executors argue that had they followed a typical approach for managing an estate following Michael’s death in July 2009, Paris would not have received such a substantial amount.
The executors also highlighted their role in transforming Michael Jackson’s estate from a situation of overwhelming debt into a lucrative entity valued at over $2 billion. They described the estate as now being a “powerhouse and a force in the music business today.”
In her June filing, Paris raised questions about the executors’ request for $625,000 in payments to three law firms, suggesting that these payments included “lavish gratuities” for already well-compensated attorneys.
Amid this financial dispute, the estate is also embroiled in legal battles with accusers Wade Robson and James Safechuck, who are seeking $400 million in damages over allegations of sexual abuse. The estate’s executors warned that failure to cover legal fees could lead to “profoundly destabilizing consequences” and that defaulting on these cases would be disastrous.
Despite the ongoing legal turmoil, Paris Jackson recently enjoyed a heartwarming reunion with her aunt, Janet Jackson, at the Tom Ford Fashion Show during Paris Fashion Week. The two shared an embrace, dispelling years of speculation about any rift between them.
As developments unfold, both Paris and Michael’s estate representatives have not yet commented on the latest court documents. The future of the estate’s legal battles and Paris’s financial concerns remain pressing issues for fans and followers alike. Stay tuned for updates on this evolving story.
