URGENT UPDATE: The captivating art exhibition “Living Collection: Works on Paper” by Jason Eisner is set to conclude on April 24, 2024, at St. Ambrose University’s Morrissey Gallery in Davenport, IA. Art enthusiasts have only a few days left to experience Eisner’s unique creations that reflect a life rich in artistic exploration and visual experience.

Eisner’s work, which he describes as pieces “found out of the corner of the eye and drawn while on break, sitting in the grass,” showcases his ability to capture fleeting moments. The exhibition, located in the lobby of the Galvin Fine Arts Center, is open for free admission from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, making it an accessible opportunity for both locals and visitors.

Born and raised in Illinois and now a resident of New York City for over 30 years, Eisner embodies the spirit of an artist. His journey includes a BA from Knox College and a Painting Certificate from the New York Studio School. Currently, he also works as a Master Pruner and Horticulturalist at the Green-Wood Cemetery and Arboretum, a sprawling 500-acre space featuring over 8,000 trees, shrubs, and plants.

Eisner’s life intertwines art with nature, drawing inspiration from his outdoor surroundings, even in his professional role. His commitment to his craft is palpable; as press materials highlight, “When does one become an artist? When does an artist make art?” Eisner answers this through his persistent creativity.

With just days remaining, this exhibition is a must-see for anyone interested in the intersection of art and life. Don’t miss your chance to engage with Eisner’s work, which offers profound insights into the artist’s world. For more information, call (563) 333-6444 or visit Facebook.com/CatichGallerySAU.
