Urgent: Hawaii Child Rape Fugitive Captured in Massachusetts
BREAKING: A woman wanted for multiple counts of child rape in Hawaii has been arrested in Massachusetts. U.S. Marshals apprehended Coleen Kuamo`o, also known as Malama Kuamo`o, 43, in Worcester on Thursday, following a nationwide manhunt.
Authorities confirm that Kuamo`o is charged with one count of sexual assault in the first degree, three counts of sexual assault in the third degree, and one count of using a computer in the commission of a crime. The alleged assaults occurred in Wailuku, Hawaii, raising urgent concerns about child safety.
“Anyone who thinks they can flee across the country to avoid facing justice is mistaken,” said Kevin Neal, Acting U.S. Marshal for Massachusetts. “The U.S. Marshals Service is committed to ensuring fugitives face justice—no matter where they run.”
The arrest came after the Maui Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service in Hawaii informed their Massachusetts counterparts that Kuamo`o might be hiding in the Bay State. The Marshals quickly tracked her down, leading to the successful capture.
This incident underscores the relentless effort of law enforcement agencies to locate and apprehend fugitives, particularly those accused of heinous crimes against children. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
In a separate incident, the Boston Police Department responded to 299 incidents between 10 a.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. The reported incidents included two robberies, six aggravated assaults, and multiple thefts from vehicles. Notably, authorities arrested several individuals for various offenses, including:
- Shaneya Hollins, operating a motor vehicle in violation of license class.
- Dominique Hines, felony possession of a firearm.
- Kerri Dunbar, external warrant arrest.
- Dayquan Hardy, larceny under $250.
All arrested individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The swift actions of law enforcement highlight the ongoing fight against crime in the area.
As the situation develops, authorities will continue to keep the public informed. Stay tuned for more updates on this urgent matter and the ongoing safety measures being implemented in both Massachusetts and Hawaii.
