Lebanon County Candidates Unveil Urgent Plans for 2025 Election
BREAKING: Candidates across Lebanon County are making urgent appeals as the 2025 general election approaches, with key positions at stake that can directly impact community safety and educational standards. With November 4, 2025 fast approaching, voters are looking for decisive action plans from both Republican and Democratic candidates.
District Attorney candidates are emphasizing public safety and crime reduction. The incumbent Republican candidate boasts a 100% conviction rate in murder trials since taking office in 2020. He highlights his experience prosecuting serious crimes and his efforts in establishing a Drug Court to tackle drug addiction, a root cause of many violent offenses. “We impose stiff penalties on drug dealers while also focusing on rehabilitation for addicts,” he stated, underscoring the dual approach of accountability and treatment.
In contrast, the Democratic candidate aims to streamline legal processes to save taxpayer dollars, pledging to expedite justice for victims while promoting alternatives to incarceration. “I want to ensure victims are compensated quickly and effectively,” he declared, showcasing a commitment to community healing.
As Lebanon County grapples with mental health issues linked to substance abuse, both candidates are advocating for a Mental Health Court. This initiative aims to provide treatment options for offenders struggling with addiction, further highlighting the candidates’ focus on holistic solutions to crime.
In the education sphere, candidates for the Annville-Cleona School District board are pushing for improved communication and community engagement. One Republican candidate, a parent and active PTO member, stressed the need for a school board that listens to all voices and fosters a constructive environment. “I aim to build bridges, not barriers, within our educational community,” she said, emphasizing her commitment to inclusive dialogue.
Meanwhile, in Palmyra, a Republican candidate is raising alarm over the district’s financial management, revealing that the Palmyra School District spent nearly $70 million last year, with a staggering $8 million just to service its debt. He warns that this unsustainable spending threatens the district’s future. “We must operate within our financial means to avoid burdening taxpayers,” he urged, calling for fiscal responsibility and transparency.
In Cornwall Borough, long-time resident and council member Bruce Conrad is advocating for a vision that prioritizes community engagement and sustainable water resources. He emphasizes the need for Cornwall to become water independent, an urgent issue given diminishing supplies.
As election day draws closer, candidates are not only outlining their priorities but also appealing for voter support with promises of accountability, transparency, and a commitment to community well-being. With endorsements from local Republican officials and support from law enforcement groups, the candidates are rallying their bases, making this election pivotal for Lebanon County’s future.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed and participate in the electoral process, as these local elections will shape the community for years to come. Make your vote count on November 4, 2025.
