The ski season is fast approaching as snowmaking operations commence across several Colorado mountains. In conjunction with the winter preparations, several highly anticipated ski films will soon be showcased in various local venues. Teton Gravity Research will present its latest film, “Pressure Drop,” on October 25, 2023, at Wibby Brewing in Longmont. This film marks a significant milestone, celebrating 30 years of TGR films, and promises to deliver breathtaking visuals that capture the essence of skiing.

Meanwhile, the 76th installment from Warren Miller Entertainment, titled “Sno-Ciety,” will have five showings at the Boulder Theater from November 13 to 15, 2023, followed by three more screenings at the Paramount Theater in Denver on November 21 and 22, 2023. This film features segments filmed in iconic locations such as Mammoth, California, British Columbia, and even the world alpine ski championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria. Notably, a segment shot at Denver’s Ruby Hill Rail Yard emphasizes fun and inclusivity, running over nine minutes.

Another exciting addition is “After the Snowfall,” produced by Matchstick Productions. This film will be shown on November 6, 2023, at Wood Boss Brewing in Denver. The film includes breathtaking footage from renowned ski areas like Arapahoe Basin, Steamboat, and international locations such as Japan and Norway.
