URGENT UPDATE: Multiple tornadoes have been confirmed tearing through the southern United States, with severe thunderstorms impacting Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama early Sunday morning, October 26, 2025. The National Weather Service reported a tornado warning was issued at 9:20 a.m. local time around Pascagoula, Mississippi, just minutes before a tornado was spotted by emergency managers.

Reports indicate that the tornado touched down approximately two miles from Gautier, causing significant damage to homes and businesses. Video footage shows the roof of the Aztecas Restaurant & Cantina being severely damaged, alongside multiple vehicles in the parking lot. The situation is urgent as these storms continue to develop.

“Areas along the Gulf Coast in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida are under a state of alert,” said WeatherNation.

An additional tornado was observed near Orange Beach, Alabama, caught on camera as a rain-wrapped twister, with alarming visuals shared by local witnesses. Another tornado was captured on a live traffic camera in Moss Point, Mississippi, further highlighting the severe weather’s intensity.

The violent weather system not only triggered tornadoes but also led to power outages affecting parts of Texas. This initial wave of storms is expected to contribute to a significant Halloween storm forecasted for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. According to FOX Weather, models indicate rain could extend from the Carolinas to the Northeast as early as Thursday and Friday.

The urgent nature of these developments requires close monitoring as the storms continue to evolve. Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay informed and prepared as conditions may change rapidly.

The latest reports emphasize the need for vigilance as communities brace for the upcoming storm. Authorities are urging individuals to follow local safety recommendations and remain alert for further weather updates.

Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops, and prepare for potential impacts from the Halloween storm expected later this week.
