Ravens Set for Miami Showdown as All Players Practice Ahead of Game
The Baltimore Ravens are gearing up for a crucial matchup against the Miami Dolphins, with all 53 players on the active roster participating in practice on Tuesday afternoon. This marks a significant departure from the lengthy injury reports that have troubled the team throughout the season. Notably, quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has been sidelined since Week 4 due to a hamstring injury, was among those who practiced in Owings Mills.
Jackson’s return is particularly vital for the Ravens, who currently hold a record of 2-5. His absence was felt during losses to the Kansas City Chiefs on September 28 and subsequent games, where the team’s performance struggled under backup quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Tyler Huntley. Coach John Harbaugh expressed optimism on Monday, stating he feels “very confident” about Jackson’s chances of playing against the Dolphins on Thursday night.
While the practice session was largely positive, it did come with a few caveats. The Ravens had some limited participation from players on the injury report. Veteran left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), rookie linebacker Teddye Buchanan (calf), cornerback Nate Wiggins (groin), and cornerback T.J. Tampa (shoulder) were all listed as limited participants in Monday’s walkthrough practice. However, all four players were able to practice fully on Tuesday.
In response to ongoing injury issues, particularly along the defensive line, the Ravens have signed veteran pass rusher Carl Lawson. With injuries to players such as Nnamdi Madubuike (neck), who has been ruled out for the year, and Tavius Robinson (foot), now on injured reserve, Lawson’s potential availability for Thursday could bolster the team’s defensive strategies.
As Baltimore prepares for this must-win game, the return of key players like Jackson could be instrumental in turning around a challenging season. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how the team performs under pressure in Miami.
