German Chancellor Merz Meets Erdogan to Discuss Key Issues

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is set to arrive in Turkey on Wednesday for his first official visit, meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday. The discussions in Ankara will center around significant geopolitical issues, including the ongoing war in Ukraine and peace initiatives in the Middle East, where Turkey has assumed a mediating role.
