Pigeon Unveils Innovative Baby Care Solutions at CIIE 2025
Pigeon showcased its latest advancements in baby care and feeding at the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) on November 7, 2025, in Shanghai. Under the theme “The Nest,” the company emphasized its commitment to innovation in the baby care sector, celebrating over two decades of operations in China.
In the consumer goods exhibition area at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Pigeon’s baby feeding bottles stood out as a signature product. This year marks a significant milestone for Pigeon, as it celebrates 23 years in the Chinese market. According to Zhou Jianfeng, President of Pigeon China, the company’s journey began with products imported from Japan. Over the years, Pigeon has expanded its local presence by establishing three manufacturing facilities and a research and development center in China. This investment in local infrastructure has allowed the company to introduce advanced technologies and quality systems tailored to meet the needs of Chinese families.
A notable highlight of the exhibition was the debut of an infant epidermal skin model developed through induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cell technology, which stems from Nobel Prize-winning research. This model addresses a significant challenge in the baby skincare sector by scientifically validating the efficacy of products designed for delicate infant skin. The model is being utilized to refine Pigeon’s proprietary formulations, including the highly anticipated Vernix Baby Skincare Series scheduled for launch in 2025.
The exhibition also marked 70 years of Pigeon’s innovation in infant feeding. The brand revolutionized baby feeding in 1949 with its first nursing bottle, which featured a screw-on wide-neck design. This innovation set a new standard for ease and comfort, distinguishing it from previous designs. Today, the third generation of Pigeon’s Soft Touch Wide-Neck Nursing Bottle closely mimics the nursing experience, benefiting millions of families worldwide.
Recognizing the diverse needs of modern parents, Pigeon combines technical excellence with contemporary design aesthetics. The company remains committed to supporting infants with special needs. To date, over 36,000 children born with cleft lip and palate have benefited from Pigeon’s support programs, while more than 9,000 premature babies have received vital nutrition through breast milk banks supported by Pigeon in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).
In a strategic move to further enhance its contributions to maternal and infant health, Pigeon signed a renewed cooperation agreement with the National Center for Women and Children’s Health during the expo. This partnership aims to bolster science-based initiatives focused on infant feeding and maternal wellness.
Pigeon’s presence at CIIE 2025 underscores its ongoing commitment to innovation and community support, reinforcing its position as a leader in the global baby care market.
