Urgent: FDNY Responds to Four-Alarm Fire at Bronx Auto Shop

UPDATE: Firefighters are currently engaged in a fierce battle against a four-alarm fire at an auto body shop located at 1740 East Tremont Avenue in the Tremont section of the Bronx. The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) received reports of smoke and flames at 11:23 a.m. Saturday, prompting an immediate response.

The blaze initially ignited as a two-alarm fire but rapidly escalated to a four-alarm emergency, marking a significant increase in firefighting efforts. A total of 39 units and 170 FDNY and EMS personnel are on-site, working tirelessly to bring the situation under control.

As of now, officials report that there have been no injuries linked to the fire, but the situation remains fluid. Firefighters are facing challenging conditions as they combat the flames and ensure the safety of the surrounding area.
