The Annual Friends of the Conant Public Library Arts & Crafts Show is relocating to a new venue this year, offering attendees enhanced parking and space for over 50 vendors. Scheduled for November 22, 2023, the event will take place at Houghton Elementary School and Chocksett Middle School, both situated at 32 Boutelle Road. Shoppers are welcome from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., where they can find a variety of high-quality, handmade gifts crafted by local artisans.

“This popular juried event, which has been held for many years at the First Church in Sterling, has seen increased interest,” said Beth Cyr, chairperson of the craft fair. “The new venue allows us to accommodate even more artists and craftspeople.” Returning vendors will include those specializing in alpaca products, aromatherapy, baskets, beach glass art, skincare items, candles, caned chairs, cork products, crochet items, embellished flannel shirts, felt products, floral arrangements, jams and jellies, jewelry, ornaments, pottery, rope bowls, wind chimes, and wood products.

This year, attendees can also look forward to new offerings such as maple syrup, pet portraits, custom olive oil and sambal sauces, books, decoupage items, candles crafted in vintage teacups, and personalized wreaths. “Long-standing traditions like the bake sale, cheese sale, raffle, and lunch café will continue at the new location,” Cyr added.

Admission for the Arts & Crafts Show is $2, with proceeds supporting programs at the Conant Public Library. Each attendee will receive a Passport, which can be stamped in three designated locations for a chance to win a prize. The event is co-sponsored by All One Credit Union.

Although all vendor spaces are currently filled, interested artisans can contact Beth Cyr via email at [email protected] to join a waiting list and receive information about next year’s event.
