Urgent Update: 15-Year-Old Shot Dead in Roseland Violence
URGENT UPDATE: A 15-year-old boy was tragically shot and killed on Chicago’s Far South Side on Saturday. The incident unfolded just after 12:30 p.m. in the 9200 block of South LaSalle Street, sending shockwaves through the community as violence in the area escalates.
Authorities report that the victim, identified as Robert D. Gunn Jr., was struck in the chest during an altercation with an unknown assailant. He was rushed to Christ Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
Police are actively investigating the shooting, with Area Two detectives leading the efforts. As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
