UltraSense Systems Achieves 3 Million Shipments of HMI Controllers
UltraSense Systems has announced a significant achievement, surpassing 3 million shipments of its AEC-Q100-qualified Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Controller for the automotive sector. This milestone indicates a strong adoption of the company’s innovative Ultrasound Intelligent Platform, which integrates various technologies to enhance vehicle user interfaces.
The UltraSense platform encompasses a vertically integrated technology stack that includes MEMS transducers, mixed-signal ASICs, firmware, algorithms, and complete HMI modules. This unique architecture allows for the co-design and optimization of each component, ensuring high performance and reliability. As a result, automotive manufacturers can deliver thinner, more intuitive, and more reliable smart-surface interfaces that outperform traditional mechanical and capacitive-only solutions.
Mo Maghsoudnia, Founder and CEO of UltraSense Systems, emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating, “With 3 million units now delivered into automotive production, the message is clear—our Ultrasound Intelligent Platform is not just innovative, it’s proven at scale.” He noted that this milestone validates the company’s strategy to control the entire technology stack, allowing for optimized performance and faster product development.
The company anticipates continued growth in automotive applications as Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) transition to solid-state, software-defined controls. There is an increasing demand for user experiences that are consistent and intuitive across various materials, including metal, glass, wood, leather, and decorative surfaces.
UltraSense’s technology not only enhances automotive interiors but also serves as a foundation for future products like UltraSwitch™ door modules, UltraSlide™ steering-wheel sliders, and UltraTouch™ infotainment interfaces. The success of the Ultrasound Intelligent Platform is expected to facilitate the development of new products in emerging fields such as augmented reality and robotics.
This achievement reinforces UltraSense’s vision of redefining human-machine interactions in various industries. As the demand for advanced, user-friendly interfaces grows, the company is well-positioned to lead the way in innovative technology solutions.
With millions of units already in production, UltraSense Systems is set to transform user experiences across multiple sectors, marking a new era in solid-state controls and intelligent interactions.
