Universal Studios Hollywood Unveils Holiday Festivities from Nov. 24
Universal Studios Hollywood is set to celebrate the Christmas holiday season with an array of festive activities in the Mushroom Kingdom, Hogsmeade, and Who-ville. The holiday celebrations will run from November 24 to January 4, 2025, featuring a light projection show, live music, seasonal menu items, and opportunities for character meet-and-greets.
This year, guests can look forward to a vibrant holiday atmosphere as the park transforms into a winter wonderland. The festivities will include themed Christmas trees, a 65-foot-tall Grinchmas tree, and an exciting array of entertainment options.
Festive Experiences in Iconic Worlds
At Super Nintendo World, visitors will enjoy a dazzling holiday overlay, complete with a Christmas tree topped with a Super Star, charming snowmen of Mario and Luigi, and special seasonal offerings at Toadstool Café.
Meanwhile, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will come alive with Christmas in Hogsmeade Village, showcasing performances by the Frog Choir and delectable seasonal dishes at the Three Broomsticks. Guests can also experience “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle,” a captivating light projection show that will illuminate the castle each night.
In Who-ville, the Grinchmas celebration will take center stage at Universal Plaza, featuring whimsical decorations and activities inspired by the beloved Dr. Seuss character. Events will include storytelling sessions with Cindy-Lou Who reading “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and photo opportunities with the Grinch and his dog, Max.
Engaging Activities and Live Entertainment
Visitors can partake in hands-on activities such as creating their own Grinchmas paper ornaments and sending postcards from the Who-ville post office. The topsy-turvy Grinchmas tree, adorned with thousands of LED lights, will light up during a nightly ceremony, accompanied by falling snow soap-flakes for a magical effect.
Additionally, Universal CityWalk will host live bands, DJs, and street performers in the 5 Towers area, creating a lively atmosphere for guests. A spectacular 40-foot-tall Christmas tree, featuring 200,000 LED lights, will serve as a stunning centerpiece.
All winter holiday activities are included with admission to Universal Studios Hollywood, and access to Universal CityWalk remains free. This festive season promises to offer memorable experiences for families and fans of all ages.
