A.J. Brown Expresses Optimism for Eagles’ 2026 Season on Podcast

A.J. Brown, wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, expressed his enthusiasm for returning to the team for the upcoming 2026 season during an appearance on a podcast hosted by Micah Parsons. This marked Brown’s first public comments since December 8, following a close loss to the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Brown addressed various topics, including his aspirations for the offseason and the changes within the coaching staff. Although Parsons did not delve into trade rumors surrounding Brown from the previous season, he provided the athlete with opportunities to speak about his future. Each time, Brown responded positively, emphasizing his commitment to the Eagles.

“Yeah, as an offense, we just come back and just really watch the tape and rediscover ourselves,” Brown stated. “We have great leaders in our locker room, and I’m fortunate to be a part of that, especially on offense. It’s all about being detailed and being disciplined.”

The Eagles recently underwent shifts in their coaching staff, notably with the replacement of offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo by Sean Mannion. Brown acknowledged the potential benefits of such changes. “I’m always excited,” he said. “Sometimes change is not a bad thing. I have the utmost respect for K.P. He did a tremendous job, but I’m excited for the season and what’s to come.”

Reflecting on his trade from the Tennessee Titans to the Eagles during the 2022 draft, Brown had nothing negative to share about his time in Philadelphia. “When I got to Philly, man, Philly welcomed me with open arms,” he remarked. “That’s home, man, and I love them.”

Despite a challenging season in which Brown expressed frustration with the offensive performance, he finished with a commendable total of 1,003 yards, marking his fourth consecutive season with over 1,000 yards. His performance in the playoffs, however, was less than ideal; he caught just three passes for 25 yards in a wild-card loss to the San Francisco 49ers, which included three drops.

“You have good days, you have bad days,” Brown commented. “Unfortunately, that day was a bad day. You look back on those things, and you’re grateful for the highs and the lows because you get a chance to rediscover yourself.”

The podcast was filmed in front of a live audience near San Francisco, where Parsons revealed that he almost joined the Eagles before being traded to the Green Bay Packers. He mentioned that the trade negotiations fell through because the Cowboys demanded the Eagles’ defensive tackle, Jalen Carter, as part of the deal. “To be honest with you, bro, it was very close to being the Eagles,” Parsons said. “I was really about to come, but there was one person that I had to play with, and that was Jalen Carter.”

As the Eagles prepare for the 2026 season, Brown’s optimism and commitment to the team may serve as a rallying point for fans and fellow players alike. The prospect of a renewed focus on discipline and teamwork could be crucial as the organization seeks to rebound from last season’s disappointments.
