Britney Spears Secures Permanent Restraining Order Against Stalker
Pop icon Britney Spears has obtained a permanent restraining order against a man accused of stalking her. The order comes after Donald, a 51-year-old from Louisiana, reportedly trespassed at Spears’ Los Angeles home and has a history of harassing her through social media. According to information obtained by TMZ, Spears filed court documents detailing the ongoing harassment that has persisted since 2013.
The situation escalated when Donald was arrested in 2025 after being spotted by Spears’ security team at her residence. Following their alert, deputies from the local sheriff’s department responded and found the man visibly shaken and smoking cigarettes at the scene. During his arrest, he exhibited what the court documents described as “odd behavior” and made incoherent statements.
The court has mandated that Donald must maintain a distance of at least 100 yards from Spears at all times. In her petition, Spears stated she has no prior knowledge of Donald and does not have any relationship with him. Her team expressed serious concerns for her safety, citing that many of Donald’s social media posts were “largely incoherent” and some could be interpreted as threats. For instance, one post included the phrase “bullet hole heart,” which heightened their fears regarding her wellbeing.
Court documents also reveal that Donald has a troubling criminal history, which includes convictions for criminal trespass and aggravated assault in 2019. He has faced charges related to burglary, harassment, and accusations of cyberstalking and driving under the influence. Given these concerns, the restraining order will remain in effect until 2030, providing Spears with a level of protection against further harassment.
The legal action taken by Spears highlights the ongoing issues of celebrity safety and the impact of social media on personal security. As the pop star continues her career, she is now better shielded from the threats posed by individuals like Donald.
