The highly anticipated animated sequel, Zootopia 2, will debut on Disney+ on March 11, 2026. This announcement follows the film’s remarkable box-office performance, which has established it as one of the biggest hits of 2025. The film achieved a significant milestone by becoming the ninth highest-grossing movie of all time and the highest-grossing animated film, according to figures from Box Office Mojo.

For those who prefer physical media, Zootopia 2 is already available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, including a limited-edition Steelbook, as of March 3, 2026. The ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle starts at $12.99 per month, although the streaming service does not currently offer a free trial.

As the film continues to capture audiences, it also garnered a nomination for Best Animated Feature at this year’s Academy Awards. The narrative follows characters Judy Hopps, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, and Nick Wilde, voiced by Jason Bateman, as they work together to solve a reptilian mystery in the vibrant world of Zootopia.

Zootopia 2 played a crucial role in Disney’s overall box office success last year, alongside other significant releases such as Avatar: Fire and Ash, Lilo & Stitch, and Predator: Badlands. Looking ahead, Disney is set to release more animated films this year, including Hoppers and Toy Story 5, as well as a live-action adaptation of Moana.

The home release of Zootopia 2 promises an array of bonus features, including behind-the-scenes featurettes and deleted scenes that provide insight into the filmmaking process. A sneak peek showcasing the exceptional work of Disney’s animators will also be included, illustrating how the beloved characters transitioned from concept art to animated reality.

As fans eagerly await the streaming premiere, Zootopia 2 stands as a testament to Disney’s enduring appeal and innovative storytelling, continuing to engage audiences of all ages around the globe.
