The long-awaited Concerts in West K! series resumes with an exciting performance by the Irish trio Fódhla, set to take place on February 1, 2026. The concert will be held from 15:00 to 17:00 at the Dane Street Program Center, located within the Brick Store Museum in Kennebunk. This event marks the beginning of the series’ new season, which has been a cherished fixture in the local music scene since its inception.

Fódhla, featuring accomplished musicians Bethany Waickman on guitar, Ellery Klein on fiddle, and Nicole Rabata on flute, is well-known to concert-goers in Kennebunk. The trio was among the first performers in the series when it launched in 2015. Their performances are characterized by a vibrant energy and exceptional artistry, delivering a sound deeply rooted in traditional Irish music.

The trio’s expertise in Irish melodies is further enhanced by their experiences abroad. Klein and Rabata honed their skills during years spent in Ireland’s cities, including Cork, Limerick, and Ennis. Waickman’s guitar work complements the fiddle and flute, providing inventive harmonies and a driving rhythm that has been refined through years of playing for contradances.

The Brick Store Museum, located at 117 Main St., Kennebunk, is an ideal venue for this enriching cultural experience. The Concerts in West K! series is produced by Mousam River Music in partnership with the museum, reinforcing the strong community commitment to the arts.

Tickets for the concert are priced at $25 per person. They can be purchased in advance through the museum’s website, brickstoremuseum.org, or at the door on the day of the performance. For those interested in reserving tickets without immediate payment, unpaid reservations can be made by emailing [email protected].

As the concert approaches, the excitement within the community grows, with many looking forward to an afternoon filled with the lively sounds of Fódhla and the rich traditions of Irish music.
