Las Vegas Rings in New Year with Fireworks from 10 Casinos
Las Vegas is set to welcome the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display, featuring contributions from ten casinos. This year’s event, dubbed “America’s Party,” will take place on December 31, 2023, and marks a notable expansion in participation, as it includes the Palms for the first time, a non-Strip property. The fireworks will be launched from the rooftops of nine Strip casinos: MGM Grand, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, Venetian, Resorts World, Fontainebleau, and The Strat.
The eight-minute presentation promises to be a memorable experience, incorporating a drone show synced to a soundtrack featuring hits from renowned artists such as The Eagles, Def Leppard, The Scorpions, Blake Shelton, and Foreigner. This musical accompaniment will be broadcast on local radio stations, enhancing the festive atmosphere for attendees.
To accommodate the expected influx of visitors, the Las Vegas Strip will close to vehicular traffic, allowing an estimated 340,000 pedestrians to celebrate along the Boulevard. This significant turnout is indicative of the city’s ongoing popularity as a holiday destination. Additionally, a separate fireworks display will be launched from the rooftop of the Plaza in downtown Las Vegas.
Innovative New Year’s Countdown and Bingo Room Opening
In a separate but exciting development, the countdown to New Year’s will feature a unique visual spectacle on the Exosphere of the Sphere. As midnight approaches, images from previous celebrations worldwide will be projected, offering a global context to the local festivities.
In another noteworthy addition to Las Vegas entertainment options, Circus Circus is set to open a bingo room in February 2024. This 225-seat facility will be the only live bingo venue available on the Strip and marks the first such opening since the last bingo room closed at the Riviera in 2012.
As Las Vegas prepares for a vibrant New Year’s celebration, the city’s attractions and entertainment options continue to evolve, drawing visitors from across the globe.
