Thrilling Halloween Events Light Up Central New York This Week
As Halloween approaches, Central New York is buzzing with a range of exciting events designed to entertain and engage residents and visitors alike. From theatrical performances to costume parties and live music, the week promises an array of activities suitable for all ages and interests.
Live Theatre and Music Events
One of the highlights is the live performance of “Clue”, based on the classic board game and film. Scheduled at the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse from October 28 to November 1, this engaging whodunit show invites audiences to unravel the mystery of a murdered dinner host. Evening shows start at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on November 1 at 2 p.m.. Tickets are priced from $43 and can be purchased online.
For music lovers, the Poised for Flight event on October 27 features a selection of Grateful Dead tribute bands, including Dark Hollow and Pearly Bakers Best, performing at Funk ‘n Waffles from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.. Tickets are available for $13.07.
Exciting Themed Parties and Cultural Performances
Costume enthusiasts can look forward to several themed events. The Devil’s Night Masquerade Ball at the 443 Social Club on October 30 promises a night of fun with spooky decor, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, and live music from Los Blancos. Tickets are priced at $23.11, and costumes are encouraged, with a contest for the best dressed.
On October 31, fans of K-Pop can attend a special sing-along screening of K-Pop Demon Hunters at the Manlius Cinema. The film, which has garnered attention as Netflix’s most-watched film, will be shown at 3 p.m. with tickets starting at $10 for matinee showings.
Additionally, cultural enthusiasts can enjoy The Paza Experience, featuring Native American music and dance at SUNY Oswego on October 28. This event begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20 for the general public.
The week will culminate with various events across the region, including the Great New York State Model Train Fair on November 1 at the New York State Fairgrounds. This family-friendly event showcases over 25 operating train layouts and costs $15 for adults.
Events such as the Fall Fest on November 1 at the 41 Lakefront Hotel will celebrate local craft beer and small businesses, with general admission priced at $55.
With such a diverse array of activities, Central New York is set for a thrilling week leading up to Halloween, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
