Tickets Now Available for K-ACT’s Matilda the Musical
Tickets for the Knoxville Area Community Theatre’s production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical are now on sale. Performances will take place on November 6 and 7 at 19:00, and on November 8 and 9 at 14:00 at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center.
Advance reservations can be made for $15 via the online platform at kact50138.seatyourself.biz. For those who prefer to purchase tickets at the venue, general admission tickets will be available for $15 on a cash-only basis, subject to availability. Notably, $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to the Knoxville Community School District to support its literacy programs.
Production Details and Cast Members
The character of Matilda will be portrayed by Chloe Lee, marking her debut with K-ACT. The production features a talented cast that includes Marijean Schaben, Sara Collins, Greg May, Jana DeZwarte, Denise Becker, Trey Thomas, RaShaun Boyer, Kaylee Figland, Violet Miller, and Anni Winward. Additional supporting roles will be filled by Tavi Albers, Noa Bauer, Isabella DeJoode, Avery Dittmer, Miranda Fay, Denise Gregory, Logan Jackson, Ryan Keep, Melissa Miller, Mackenzie Niday, Ali Pearson, Regan Roberts, Lillian Shelburn, Hannah Thomas, and Kamron Warden.
The production is directed by Carol Adkins, with Troy Errthum serving as Technical Director. Choreography is under the direction of McKenzie Niday, while Kamron Warden oversees the music direction. The show is supported by numerous volunteers dedicated to its success.
Storyline and Background
Matilda the Musical tells the empowering tale of a young girl who harnesses her intelligence, imagination, and bravery to inspire her teacher and classmates. The musical, based on Dahl’s original story, is a Tony Award-winning production that debuted with the Royal Shakespeare Company and has since garnered 47 international awards.
With its engaging storyline and memorable characters, K-ACT’s rendition of this beloved musical promises to be an exciting event for audiences of all ages. As the curtain rises, attendees will experience the magic of theatre while also contributing to a worthy cause through their ticket purchases.
