FDA Approves Avalon GloboCare’s KetoAir Breathalyzer Device
Avalon GloboCare Corp (NASDAQ:ALBT) has received renewed approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its innovative KetoAir breathalyzer device. This handheld device, designed for individuals following ketogenic diets, measures breath acetone concentration (BrAce), an important biomarker linked to fat metabolism and nutritional ketosis. The announcement was made on Tuesday, but the news did not prevent the company’s stock from trading lower on Wednesday.
The KetoAir breathalyzer utilizes advanced nano-sensor technology to provide non-invasive, real-time insights into a user’s metabolic state through breath analysis. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals focusing on weight management, athletic performance, or those engaged in therapeutic or lifestyle-based ketogenic programs.
Compatibility with both iOS and Android smartphones allows users to access companion applications available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Avalon GloboCare plans to market the KetoAir device in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) segments. The company aims to enhance its marketing and distribution efforts through its subsidiary, Avalon Quantum AI, LLC. Marketing initiatives are set to commence in the second quarter of 2026, marking an important milestone, according to Interim CEO Meng Li.
Stock Performance and Market Analysis
Despite the FDA’s approval, Avalon GloboCare’s stock is experiencing significant bearish momentum. As of Wednesday, shares were down 23.64% at $0.84, reaching a new 52-week low. Currently, the stock is trading 31.1% below its 20-day simple moving average (SMA) and 55.5% below its 100-day SMA. Over the past year, the stock has decreased by 70.51%, positioning it closer to its 52-week lows than highs.
The technical indicators reflect mixed momentum for the stock. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at 39.65, indicating neutral territory, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is above its signal line, suggesting a potential bullish trend. The combination of a neutral RSI and a bullish MACD points to uncertain market sentiment.
Key resistance for ALBT is identified at $1.00, while support is noted at $0.75. Investors are closely monitoring these levels as the company navigates its next steps in the wake of the FDA approval.
Despite the fluctuations in stock performance, Avalon GloboCare’s commitment to advancing health management through innovative technology remains evident. The KetoAir device is positioned to cater to a growing market of health-conscious consumers interested in ketogenic diets.
