Snooki Reveals Stage 1 Cervical Cancer Diagnosis, Urges Health Checks
Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi has announced her diagnosis of Stage 1 cervical cancer, following a recent cone biopsy. The reality television star, known for her role on “Jersey Shore,” shared her health journey on social media, emphasizing the crucial importance of regular medical check-ups and early detection.
In a candid video, the 38-year-old documented her experience leading up to the diagnosis, which confirmed the presence of cancerous cells. Polizzi explained that she had struggled with abnormal Pap smears for several years prior to this diagnosis. She expressed her relief at the early detection, stating, “Obviously not the news that I was hoping for, but also not the worst news just because they caught it so early.”
Polizzi is preparing for further medical evaluations, including a PET scan, which will determine whether the cancer has spread. She is also likely to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure to remove her uterus and cervix. “Instead of just putting it off because I didn’t want to go and it hurt and I was scared, no, I just went and did it … cancer’s in there, and it’s only Stage 1 and it’s curable,” she shared, encouraging viewers to take their health seriously.
Notably, Polizzi’s diagnosis comes at a time when she is balancing her health struggles with her responsibilities as a mother to three children with her husband, Jionni LaValle. Reflecting on her situation, she acknowledged the challenges of 2026, saying, “2026 is not panning out how I wanted it to, but also, could be worse.”
Polizzi’s message resonates with many women who may experience similar health issues in silence. She urged her followers to engage in open discussions about their health, emphasizing that early detection can make a significant difference. “Let’s comment below on all of us going through this … a lot of women go through it silently, without anyone to talk to,” she stated.
As she moves forward with her treatment plan, Polizzi’s advocacy for women’s health remains a central focus. She concluded her message with a strong call to action, urging women to prioritize their health: “Get your appointments done, b******! I’m telling you.”
This announcement comes as fans continue to celebrate the legacy of “Jersey Shore,” which debuted 15 years ago. As Polizzi shares her health journey, she not only highlights the importance of regular screenings but also reminds her audience to support one another through life’s challenges.
