Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Celebrated as Champion for Children
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) received the prestigious title of “Champion for Children” during the PEI Kids 40th Anniversary Gala on October 17, 2025. The event, held at The Boathouse at Mercer Lake, recognized MCPO’s steadfast dedication to safeguarding youth and promoting justice for child victims.
PEI Kids, an organization committed to creating child-safe communities, presented the award at its event themed “Denim & Diamonds: Celebrating 40 Years of Safety, Healing and Hope.” The organization offers expert programs in crisis intervention, prevention, and personal safety, focusing on the well-being of vulnerable children.
The MCPO was honored for its significant contributions to child protection initiatives. Its efforts in addressing the needs of young victims have made a profound impact on the community, reinforcing the importance of a collective approach to safeguarding children.
Alongside the MCPO, two other notable entities received the “Champion for Children” award. NJM Insurance Group and Thomas and Francesca Bartlett of The Bartlett Family Foundation were also recognized for their contributions to the welfare of children in the region.
The gala highlighted the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders dedicated to enhancing the lives of children, emphasizing a shared mission of safety and support. The recognition of the MCPO and its partners underscores the critical role that local organizations play in fostering environments where children can thrive.
