Methacton’s Winning Streak Continues with Narrow Victory Over Pottsgrove
On January 10, 2026, the Methacton boys basketball team secured its 11th consecutive victory, narrowly defeating Pottsgrove 64-63. The standout performance came from Wes Robinson, who scored a game-high 22 points, complemented by John Leet, who contributed 19 points. Leet’s two free throws in the closing seconds of the match proved pivotal, sealing the win for Methacton, which now holds a record of 12-3 overall.
Pottsgrove fought valiantly, led by Ezai Jones, who recorded 21 points, marking his best offensive outing of the season. Chance Rosenberger and Greg Rosenberger added 19 and 12 points, respectively, as the Falcons fell to 7-7. Pottsgrove is set to face another formidable opponent, Pope John Paul II, in their next match on Tuesday.

In another exciting clash, Phoenixville overcame Great Valley 55-52. The game was highlighted by Keron Booth Jr., who led all scorers with 25 points, including seven three-pointers. Girls Basketball Highlights
On the girls’ side, Perkiomen Valley triumphed over Ridley 55-43, with Scarlett Lee leading the team with 10 points. The Vikings showcased a balanced offensive attack, with Gabby Russo and Megan King each contributing nine points. Perkiomen Valley now holds an 11-3 record and will play at Norristown for their next contest.
Methacton also enjoyed success, defeating Mount Saint Joseph Academy 57-49. Ava Wolf shone with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Penny Wolf added 17 points and nine boards. This victory marked Methacton’s sixth straight win, improving their overall record to 8-6.
In further action, Boyertown secured a 51-39 win against Oley Valley, driven by Rhian Harper, who scored 22 points. The Bears improved to 4-10 and will host Upper Perkiomen on Tuesday.
