The 2025-26 wrestling season is gaining momentum, with several New Jersey wrestlers making significant strides in national rankings as of December 31, 2025. Following impressive performances at prestigious events such as the Beast of the East, Sam Cali, and Powerade, the state’s top grapplers are establishing themselves on the national stage.

As the calendar turned to 2026, the rankings highlight the competitive nature of New Jersey wrestling across various weight classes. Grapplers from renowned schools are positioned among the best in the country, reflecting their dedication and skill.

Notable Rankings and Performances

In the pound-for-pound rankings, Jayden James from Delbarton School stands out as one of the top wrestlers, holding the third position in both the MatScouts and FloWrestling rankings. Other notable contenders include Paul Kenny from Christian Brothers Academy, ranked 16th by MatScouts and 17th by FloWrestling in the 106-pound category, and Jack Anello of Blair Academy, who is ranked 14th and 12th, respectively.

The 113-pound weight class features strong performances from Sean Kenny of Christian Brothers Academy, who is ranked 5th by FloWrestling, alongside Killian Coluccio from Lacey, who is ranked 19th by MatScouts and 12th by FloWrestling.

The 126-pound class sees Paul Kenny again ranked at 3rd in both MatScouts and FloWrestling, while Tommy Marchetti of Delbarton and Finnegan O’Brien from Blair Academy hold 19th and 25th positions, respectively.

In the 132-pound division, Vincenzo Anello from Blair Academy ranks 5th by MatScouts and 14th by FloWrestling, showcasing the depth of talent within the state.
