Seahawks vs. Rams: A Showdown with Super Bowl Implications
The upcoming clash between the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams on November 14, 2025, has emerged as a critical matchup in the NFL, with significant implications for the playoff race. Both teams boast impressive records of 7-2, positioning them among the top franchises this season. ESPN insider Dan Graziano has raised expectations, predicting that the winner of this contest could become the clear favorite in the NFC and potentially contend for the Super Bowl.
Graziano expressed his thoughts during a segment of “Get Up,” stating, “I think the winner of this game is the clear favorite in the NFC and possibly for the Super Bowl. Based on the way everyone’s playing right now, these two teams are playing the best.” He highlighted the Seahawks’ recent performances, including a dominant 35-0 lead against the Washington Commanders in their last game.
This season, Sam Darnold has taken on the role of quarterback for the Seahawks after a standout year with the Minnesota Vikings, where he led the team to a remarkable 14-win season. Questions lingered about his consistency following his time with the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets. Darnold has answered those concerns convincingly, achieving a completion percentage of 71.1% and throwing for 2,262 yards, with 17 touchdowns and six interceptions thus far. His top-ranked QBR of 77.7 underscores his effectiveness this season.
On the other side, veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford has also excelled despite entering the season with injury concerns. He has experienced one of the best seasons of his career, recording a completion percentage of 67.1% and leading the league with 25 touchdown passes, while only throwing two interceptions. Stafford’s performance has been pivotal for the Rams, who have won four consecutive games heading into this crucial matchup.
Both teams not only excel offensively but also boast formidable defenses. The Seahawks rank sixth in points allowed per game at 19.1, while the Rams have been even more effective, surrendering only 17 points per game, the second-fewest in the league. This defensive prowess adds another layer of intensity to the upcoming divisional clash.
As the Seahawks and Rams prepare for their first of two scheduled meetings this season, their playoff aspirations hang in the balance. With both teams positioned as strong contenders, the victor will not only enhance their playoff prospects but will also solidify their status as a favorite for the Super Bowl. According to FanDuel, the Seahawks and Rams are currently among the top six teams favored to win the championship, reflecting their impressive performances this season.
With just a week until kickoff, anticipation is building for what promises to be an electrifying game that could shape the course of the postseason.
