UPDATE: Emma Jo Jones, a vibrant 29-year-old, unexpectedly passed away on November 12, 2025, leaving a profound impact on her family and community. Known for her infectious spirit, Emma was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who brightened the lives of those around her.

Emma was born to Rebecca Jones and the late Dennis Jones. She shared a special bond as a triplet with siblings Ella and Evan Jones, and she was the beloved younger sister of Molly Hawthorne. A graduate of Governor Mifflin High School in 2014, Emma excelled both academically and as a dedicated lacrosse player.

Her talent on the field took her to Lebanon Valley College, where she completed her degree in Biology in 2018. Emma’s athletic achievements included being named MVP (2017-2018) and receiving the title of Outstanding Female Athlete of 2018.

Professionally, Emma made her mark as a lab technician in Berks County and later as a lab scientist in West Virginia, where she was living at the time of her passing. Many remember her vibrant energy from her work at Zia Maria’s Restaurant in Adamstown, where she and her sister Molly became a dynamic duo known for laughter and camaraderie.

Emma’s personality was bold and unforgettable. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued, and her generosity and sense of humor touched countless lives. Although the world feels a bit dimmer without her, her legacy of warmth and love will continue to shine.

She is survived by her mother, Rebecca, her significant other Eric, her siblings Molly, Ella, and Evan, and her cherished nieces, who adored their Auntie Em. Emma also leaves behind her Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Bart, who fostered her love for fishing, and her “second father” Seth Remp, who played a significant role in her life.

“You were taken far too soon, but your warmth, humor, and love will continue to ripple through every story we tell and every life you touched,” the family shared in a heartfelt tribute.

Friends and family are invited to gather for prayers and remembrance on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, located at 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611. The family will welcome visitors from 12:00 noon until the service starts.
