Boulder County Unveils Exciting Holiday Events for 2025
UPDATE: Boulder County is gearing up for a festive holiday season with a lineup of exciting events, including the much-anticipated performances from the Rocky Mountain Revels. The “Extremely Wonderful New York Holiday Radio Show” will take the stage on December 21-22, 2025, at the Dairy Arts Center, with shows at 2 PM and 7 PM. Tickets range from $28.75 to $57.50 and are available at thedairy.org.
This year’s show promises to be a delightful mix of music, dance, and storytelling, capturing the spirit of the season while providing a warm, cozy environment for attendees. The Revels, a beloved Boulder-based troupe, blends community and tradition, inviting performers of all ages to join in the celebration. With a focus on inclusivity and participation, the event is designed to engage audiences in a festive way.
The Rocky Mountain Revels has been delighting audiences since 2002, and this year’s production reflects the evolution of the group, showcasing a mix of veteran performers and fresh talent. According to executive director Darren Kelly, the show is not only a platform for entertainment but also a celebration of local culture, supported by grants from organizations like the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).
In addition to the Revels, Boulder County will feature a plethora of holiday events perfect for families and friends. Starting with the St. Nick on the Bricks event in downtown Boulder, kids can meet Santa from 11 AM on Fridays and Saturdays through December 13. This free event promises memorable photo opportunities for all ages.
Another highlight is the Gingerbread Tea at St. Julien, where guests can enjoy festive treats while supporting a local toy drive. Set for Noon on Sundays through December 21, tickets range from $29 to $49, including delicious tea and treats.
The Longmont Symphony Orchestra will present “The Nutcracker” on December 6, a cherished tradition that brings Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet to life. With performances at 4 PM on Saturday and 2 PM on Sunday, this event is expected to attract large crowds, celebrating the magic of the season.
In addition to these major productions, Boulder County will host a series of festive concerts and events, including the CU Holiday Festival from December 5-7, featuring student musicians and renowned faculty in a joyous musical celebration. The Rock the Halls concert by Face Vocal Band on December 17 will offer an entertaining a cappella experience that blends humor and holiday cheer.
For those seeking unique experiences, the Home for the Holidays Tour on December 6-7 will take visitors through historical homes decorated for the season, showcasing the creativity and spirit of the community.
