Born in Erie, PA, Brian was the devoted husband of Linda A. (Natale) Hayes, with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage. He was not just a family man but also a passionate advocate for youth sports, having owned the Exeter Cardinals Baseball Club from 1993 to 2020. His leadership and commitment to amateur baseball in the region have left a lasting legacy.

Brian was known for his fervent love of golf, frequently playing at esteemed local clubs such as Moselem Springs, Mulligan’s Pointe, and Mid South Country Clubs. His enthusiasm for sports and community outreach resonated deeply with many, making him a cherished mentor and friend.

In addition to his immediate family, which includes children Brian M. Hayes II, Brent Hayes, and Brooke Majano, as well as granddaughter Avery and granddog Mahomes, Brian is also survived by his brothers, James Hayes and Bruce Hayes, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Hayes.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., located at 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA, 19606. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House or the American Heart Association, both of which reflect Brian’s compassionate spirit and commitment to helping others.
