Cori Kennedy’s Final Performance on ‘The Voice’ Ends in Knockout
UPDATE: In a heart-wrenching moment for fans, South East Minnesota’s own Cori Kennedy faced elimination during her third and final performance on “The Voice” on November 17, 2023. Kennedy sang “You and I” by Lady Gaga but lost to fellow contestant Aaron Nichols in a gripping knockout round.
Performing in front of a national audience, Kennedy showcased her “rugged” voice with a full band, captivating viewers with her undeniable talent. Coaches Reba McEntire and Niall Horan praised both contestants, highlighting their “great range” during the high-stakes competition.

Kennedy’s original song, “Who Shot the Water Tower,” has amassed an impressive 15.8 million views on TikTok, 781,000 on Facebook, and 5.8 million on Instagram, showcasing her rapid rise in popularity. With 8,400 monthly listeners on Spotify, she has captured the hearts of many.
As she reflects on her time on “The Voice,” Kennedy expressed gratitude toward her supporters, stating, “Thank you all so much for the overwhelming love tonight. This has been such an incredible experience, and I’m so thankful for every bit of it.”
