UPDATE: The Colorado Buffaloes basketball team clinched a thrilling 102-97 overtime victory against the Eastern Washington Eagles on November 4, 2023, at the CU Events Center. This marks the Buffs’ second consecutive win, despite ongoing struggles with free throw shooting and defensive lapses.

In a nail-biting contest, the game concluded regulation in a 85-85 tie. Tension escalated in the overtime period when Eastern Washington’s Straton Rogers received two technical fouls, providing a critical advantage for Colorado. With just over three minutes left, Buffs’ players Sebastian Rancik and Isaiah Johnson capitalized, sinking two free throws each to push Colorado ahead 90-85.

However, the Eagles rallied quickly, with Johnny Radford converting a three-point play to tie the game again at 90-90 with just 1:50 remaining. The Buffs responded with back-to-back three-pointers from Johnson and Elijah Malone, extending their lead to six points. Remarkably, Colorado improved their free throw performance in overtime, hitting 11 of 14 attempts to seal the victory.

Rancik led the scoring for the Buffaloes with a career-high 24 points, while Barrington Hargress contributed 14 points and four assists. On the opposing side, Eastern Washington’s Isaiah Moses dominated with 30 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Colorado’s late surge.
