Elizabeth A. Risser, 77, Passes Away in Fleetwood, PA

BREAKING NEWS: Elizabeth A. Risser, aged 77, of Mohrsville, has sadly passed away on January 7, 2026, at Keystone Villa in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania. This news comes as a significant loss to her family and community, following the death of her husband, David R. Risser, on January 31, 2007.

Elizabeth was born in Lebanon and was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence S. and Florence A. (Kapp) Bugg. A proud graduate of ELCO High School in 1966, she was an active member of the New Beginnings Grace Brethren Church in Myerstown, where she touched many lives.

She is survived by her three children: Jonathan D. Risser and his wife Joanna of Mohrsville, Dustin S. Risser and his wife Michelle from Denver, PA, and Heather J. Risser Leahy and her husband Kevin of Chicago. Elizabeth was also a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren: Andrew, Zachary, Joshua, Finnegan, Benjamin, and Jadon.

In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by her sister, Norene Metzler of Manheim. Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Bugg, Jr., and her twin sister, Sylvia Heller.

The family has announced that services will be held at their convenience, with burial planned at Viewpoint Cemetery in Centre Township. In a heartfelt note, they have requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the New Beginnings Missions Fund at newbeginningsmyerstown.org.
