LifeWise Academy Expands Faith-Based Education in Ohio Schools
UPDATE: LifeWise Academy is rapidly expanding its faith-based education program for public school students in Clark County, Ohio. Just this month, the initiative has seen enrollment surge from 13 students in its pilot program to an impressive 75 students as the new school year begins.
Around lunchtime, children now leave their classrooms to engage in Bible study, prayer, and worship songs, all made possible through “released time” religious instruction laws. These laws permit students to be excused from regular academic classes with parental consent to participate in faith-based activities.
Local chapter program director Nikohl Hamilton oversees the initiative and is proud to see her 7-year-old son, Ethan, among the participants. “It’s incredible to witness this growth,” Hamilton stated. “Our aim is to instill character and moral values in the next generation.”
The program, launched in March 2024 as a pilot, experienced a rapid increase in interest, hitting 30 students by the end of the year. The latest enrollment figures reflect a growing demand for faith-based education, suggesting that many parents are eager for their children to receive this type of instruction during school hours.
This expansion signifies a critical moment for LifeWise Academy, as it aligns with a broader trend of integrating faith-based education within public school systems. The program operates under strict guidelines and ensures that all participation is voluntary, emphasizing parental choice and community involvement.
With such rapid growth, LifeWise Academy is poised to become a key player in religious education in Ohio. Officials are monitoring the program closely to ensure it meets educational standards and community needs.
Looking ahead, the academy plans to continue expanding its reach, with hopes of increasing enrollment even further throughout the school year. Parents and community leaders are encouraged to get involved and support the mission of bringing faith-based education to local schools.
As the initiative gains momentum, it reflects a significant shift in how education is approached within public schools, highlighting the importance of character development alongside academic learning.
Stay tuned for more updates as LifeWise Academy continues to make headlines and impact the lives of students and families in Ohio.
