Urgent Search for Suspect Who Exposed Himself to Teen in Palo Alto
URGENT UPDATE: Palo Alto police are actively searching for a suspect who allegedly exposed himself to a teenage girl on Tuesday, authorities confirmed. The incident occurred around 4:30 PM on the north sidewalk of the 100 block of Embarcadero Road, raising serious concerns for community safety.
According to police reports, the victim, a high school-aged girl, was approached by the suspect while she was walking towards Kingsley Avenue. He showed her his phone, asking for directions. In a shocking turn of events, the suspect moved his phone towards his waist, revealing that his pants were undone and he was holding his exposed penis.
The girl managed to walk away from the suspect and called the police approximately 30 minutes later to report the alarming incident. Despite a swift response from law enforcement, officers were unable to locate the suspect at the scene.
Authorities have described the suspect as an Indian or Middle Eastern man, around 30 years old, with thick hair, dark-colored eyes, and a dark brown mustache that connects to his beard. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve, collared button-down shirt paired with black pants.
This troubling incident has left the community on high alert. Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the event to contact the 24-hour dispatch center at 650-329-2413. As of now, the investigation is ongoing, and authorities have noted that there have been no recent reports of similar cases in Palo Alto. Community members are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior.
