William T. Conlon, Sr. Passes Away Surrounded by Family

BREAKING: William T. Conlon, Sr., beloved family man and community figure, has passed away peacefully at his home in Lowell, Massachusetts, surrounded by his family on February 13, 2026. His loss is felt deeply by those who knew him, as he was a pillar of support and encouragement for his loved ones.

Conlon, who celebrated his 61 years of marriage with his wife, Grace Conlon, was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family was the heart of his life, and he took immense pride in their achievements, attending countless sports events and milestones throughout their lives.

Born on February 11, 1942, Conlon was educated in the Lowell Public Schools and began his professional journey as an apprentice at the Courier Citizen Company. His dedication led him to become the Estimating Supervisor, before moving on to roles at Parker Brothers and Milton Bradley, where he worked for 15 years before retiring in 2007.

William was known for his unwavering spirit of generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it was fixing cars or framing houses. His zest for life included adventures with family, from camping trips to memorable cruises, and he remained an avid fan of Boston sports.

His legacy continues through his children, including Christine LaBrecque and William Conlon, as well as his grandchildren, who include Anthony LaBrecque and his wife, and Meaghan Staab with her husband. He was also a proud great-grandfather to four and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of a new family member, Baby Cooper, expected in May 2026.

Visitation services will be held on February 15, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, followed by a funeral service at 4 PM. A memorial service is planned for mid-March at Saint Michael’s Church in Lowell, with further details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Care Dimensions Hospice or Rebuilding Together Boston. His family expresses immense gratitude for the love and support they’ve received during this difficult time.
