Port Charlotte Resident Kevin Paul Larson Dies After Cancer Battle
Kevin Paul Larson, aged 66, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on October 15, 2025, after a prolonged battle with cancer. His peaceful departure marks the end of a life filled with resilience and dedication to family.
Born in 1959 to John and Mary Larson in Duluth, Minnesota, Kevin was known for his strong ties to his community and family. He graduated in 1977 from Denfeld High School, where he laid the foundation for a successful future. Later, he earned his degree from Dunwoody College, equipping him with the skills that would guide his career.
Kevin’s legacy is carried on by his mother, Mary Larson, who resides in Duluth, along with his children, Nick (Faith) Larson and Hayley Larson. He is also survived by five siblings: Kerry (Xiuping) Larson, Kathy (Jim) Sandstedt, Kris Larson, and Kent (DawnMarie) Larson. In addition, he cherished his role as a grandfather to four grandchildren—Brooklyn, Parker, Preston, and Cheyenne.
Dylan Baron Larson, Kevin’s son, preceded him in death, a loss that profoundly affected his family. Throughout his life, Kevin exemplified strength and perseverance, qualities that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
As the community comes to terms with this loss, tributes to Kevin’s kind-hearted nature and unwavering support for his loved ones are pouring in. Friends and family will remember him not only for his achievements but also for the warmth and love he shared. His contributions to the lives of those around him will remain cherished memories.
