Woman Struck by 18-Wheeler on Capital Boulevard, Recovery Underway

UPDATE: A woman is currently recovering in the hospital after being struck by an 18-wheeler early this morning in Raleigh, North Carolina. The incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, in the 3700 block of Capital Boulevard, directly in front of a Circle K convenience store.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the victim was conscious and alert when officers arrived on the scene. She was able to communicate with the responding officer before being transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The truck driver remained at the scene, and police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine fault.
